Friction Apparatus

This apparatus consists of a smooth finish wooden Friction Board, 19.5" x 2" x 5/16" , a smooth finish wooden Friction Block 4" (100mm) x 1.5" (38mm) x 1.25" (28mm) with three compartments to hold weights and a hook on the side, a Spring Scale 250g / 2.5N and three 50gm weights. To study friction the area of the Friction block can be increased or decreases by turning the block. The Friction board can also be made to rest on a rod and students can also study the effect of incline on friction.
